FORMER CWA PRESIDENT BAHR PASSES

CWA President Emeritus Morton (Morty) Bahr passed away yesterday. He served as CWA International President from 1985 -2005. Funeral Arrangements noted below:

A funeral service and burial will take place on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 2pm. It will be held at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah, Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Donations can be made to the Morton Bahr Online Learning Scholarship at Empire State College.Two Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs NY 12866.

Barry Barker, who works in the Summersville, WV crew (Local 2007) as a tech had recently been diagnosed with cancer, on Friday, June 7th he suffered a stroke and was transported to Morgantown. Please keep Barry and his wife Christal in your thoughts and prayers.

On our recent tailgate meetings, this is some of the feedback we received from members. We will be passing it on to the company in a effort to possibly open their eyes and make this a better place to work for everyone.

Employees individual names & production numbers being publicly posted on battle boards. Employees want a letter or number listed instead of names. Or to individually email results to employee.

Trucks broke down for long periods of time. Hire additional mechanics, invest in newer fleet trucks.

John Paugh and Jennifer Henderson are attending the WV State Council Meeting today in Clarksburg. Our PAF/COPE drive has been moved to June! None of our members dues can be used for political action. All political contributions are voluntary given to political campaigns.

On behalf of the Bargaining Committee, we are pleased to report that CWA members at Frontier Communications in West Virginia and Ashburn, Va. have voted to ratify the 4-year agreement that the bargaining team reached last month.
