Our Vision

We want MasTec to succeed, and we believe that justice and respect in the workplace are essential for that success. We envision a company where workers are given a voice in the issues that matter to them and are treated with respect.

We aim to achieve this vision by joining together with our fellow workers to organize and make ourselves heard.

Advantages to joining a union

1. Collective Bargaining – Collective bargaining occurs when a group of people decides to band together to increase its negotiating power. For instance, a single worker might feel that a certain new safety measure should be implemented but he has limited power to get the company to install the new measure. Now If the entire workforce is made aware of the need for the new measure and bands together to pressure the company to install it, there is a much greater chance that the company will comply. Labor unions allow workers' voices to be heard.

2. Support – A union representative will work side by side with you should you have an issue at work that needs to be resolved.

4. A voice –  A union will allow you to have a say in the working conditions.

8. Better Training – Unions offer greater opportunities for training advancement to its members guaranteeing that they will be safer on the site, avoiding more injuries and potential safety hazards.
