Call centers provide jobs. Don’t let them slip away.

In 1968, one worker earning the federal minimum wage could support a family of three while staying above the poverty line. But even with an increase to $15, the minimum wage today can barely support one worker with a child, much less an entire family.

In the past, middle-class jobs like those at AT&T’s Meriden Call Center could provide a stable life for working families. Today, corporate greed is making those jobs disappear. Despite receiving over $20 billion from Trump’s tax cuts, AT&T eliminated over 11,780 jobs nationally in 2018, and that’s just the start.
