The proposed megamerger between T-Mobile and Sprint is bad news for consumers and workers. If the deal moves forward, it would mean higher prices, 30,000 lost jobs across the United States, and lower wages for wireless workers. The Department of Justice has already approved the merger, but we still have a chance to stop it.

A bipartisan group of 18 Attorneys General are pursuing a lawsuit to block the merger in an effort to stop these two corporate giants from gaining excessive market power at the expense of workers, consumers, and communities. Your Minnesota Attorney General is one of the 18 fighting to stop the merger, and they need to hear your support!

When an occupational employee's illness continues, company policy dictates that the manager notifies Qwest Disability Services (QDS) on the fourth consecutive day of an employee's absence to trigger the Short-Term Disability and/or FMLA process. Absences of more than three days that do not qualify for STD may still qualify for protection under FMLA.

The employee is also required to contact QDS on the fourth calendar day of illness.

In 1995 CWA bargained a new position titled Health Benefit Coordinator. Health Benefit Coordinators purpose is to assist bargained for employees in the event they have problems with their health care benefits or short term disability. The HBC's are trained on processes and procedures and develop contacts with the various vendors and providers. They can quickly resolve issues and bring peace of mind to members that have problems.

The Health Benefit Coordinators are appointed by CWA leadership.
